RAM's Race Notes:
Hagerty and Baker posted the 4th and 5th fastest team times in the 10-year history of the KWGC course. The top 8 girls finishers all broke into the all-time top 50 at KWGC. That race up front was hot. Hanlon led the whole way with Compher stalking her. In the final 400, Compher made her move. Twice on the gauntlet, Hanlon held off Compher's charges, but the Hagerty girl had one more gear that her Baker counterpart just could not match. Great race! Compher moved to #4 all-time at KWGC and Hanlon to #6. They were the fastest 2 girl runners here since we hosted Districts in 2002.
For the Conchs, it was the 2nd fastest 5-girl team time at KWGC in school history. Emma Fehlig moved into the KWHS all-time/all-course Top 10 with her 23:54. Only Olivia and Tyler Buckheim have run faster as sophomores. Morgan Nelson is tied for 5th all-time among KW freshmen.
Every KW finisher (in both races) ran a significant season best (SB). These were the girls' numbers:
