The Hemingway Home, Key West, Florida:  2004

One of Key West's most famous residents, Ernest Hemingway lives on here.  His house, with its roaming family of inbred six-toed cats, is open for tours.  There is a Hemingway Festival every July that attracts dozens of pretty convincing look-alikes (there is even a contest, with multiple attires, involved) and a large number of fans.  And, of course, Sloppy Joe's Bar would not be the lure it is if not for the claim that it was Hemingway's favorite bar.  [30 photos]
