Canyon de Chelley National Monument, Arizona: 23 June 2004
The canyon itself would be enough of an attraction, but the ruins built into the walls' natural niches provide a thoughtful perspective on life way back when. The hike down to White House Ruins was easy and well worth it for the close-up view. [29 photos]
