Key West Golf Club
5K Cross Country Course
The course is 2 loops, starting and finishing in full view of the clubhouse area. More active spectators can see most of the race by moving between the 12th tee and the 18th tee.
There is minimum pavement on the course. It is 99% soft grass. Only a few quick path crossings are required. Spikes are welcome.
There are 24 short, rounded hills on each lap, including a succession of 9 in a row along the 18th fairway. Each of these mounds is 3-5’ high. [The line of the course runs right over them, so running around them is grounds for disqualification.]
The Clubhouse veranda will serve as meet headquarters. Rest rooms are available, but no showers. Everyone MUST stay off tees and greens.
