MAPS AND DIRECTIONS        FURY SNORKEL TRIP        K.W.G.C. COURSE MAP

Here's the Weekend Plan:

Friday:

From Miami, you have 150 miles to go.  the first 45 of that is fast (55-70 MPH).  Once you reach the Keys, though, speed limits drop to 45 MPH. There are a few 55 zones, but there are also about 15 traffic lights, and most of US-1 is one lane fo traffic in each direction (i.e., no passing zones).  Plan on taking 2.5 hours (3.5 from Miami).  Add another half-hour if you'll be making bathroom or snack stops.  It's a nice ride in an unhurried state of mind, so lean back, chill, and enjoy the views....

6:00    (or whenever)   Course jog at Key West Golf Club, if you arrive before sunset

                2007 Sunsets:  9/22 = 7:24, 9/29 = 7:17, 10/13 = 7:03, 10/20 = 6:56.

8:00     Check in at KWHS bunkhouse (subject to availablity -- reserve EARLY)

11 bunks (22 beds), with 2 beds in separate coaches quarters

Air-conditioned, with 53" TV and VCR (bring your own movies or DVD player)
