Yosemite National Park, California:  Gallery 1, 18-19 June 2004

The vistas from Glacier Point are a tremendous way to start the day.  Hikes to Sentinel Dome, Mirror Lake, and Vernal Falls, and spectacular

sunset views followed.  The next morning, frost was on the grass at Tuolumne Meadows, and snow lingered at the Tioga Pass gate.  [64 photos]

I stayed at the Wawona Hotel. Nice parking lot.

Hackers were out early on Wawona Golf Course.

Morning at Tuolumne Meadows. Frost on the grass, and on my windshield. Low-30's on June 19th in California.

Anonymous craggy foothills. From these snowy peaks, it was off to Death Valley, just 120 miles away....
