Just south of the United/Duval intersection, 1300 block
Just south of the Front/Duval intersection, 100 block
Each 1/4-mile will be marked on the street.
Runners will seed themselves at the start. The more seriously competitive runners should be allowed the front rows.
Volunteers and KWPD will be holding traffic at the 10 intersections, but the street will not be officially closed.
The finish could get hectic. There will be multiple finish chutes. Please keep moving to the end of the chute! Volunteers will be enforcing this. (It's only a mile, not a dang marathon, so please keep moving to avoid clogging up the finish line for the runners behind you.)
The race will be considered finished at 7:20 pm.
The clock will be turned off at that time, and the intersections will be re-opened.
If you're going to walk or saunter, join the Parade, for free.
After the race, the post-race party will be held at Smokin' Tuna Saloon on Charles Street (perpendicular from Shorty's on the 200 block of Duval). Select beverages and light food will be provided, full bar and menu will be available, awards will be presented, and a splendid time will be ahad by all.
Awards will be provided byLocal Awards & Engraving, 3201 Flagler Avenue, Key West.
